Avignon NightlifeCafés and Bars are open until late at night, discotheques are open until early at the morning and nightclubs are open all the night, Avignon nightlife is very relaxed and you can have fun in the discos or in any of the 20 cinemas of Avignon or drinking a glass of wine in a bar. It's important to know the legal drinking age in France is 16, so if you're travelling with teenagers is good idea to let them taste the good wine of this region. You may visit the Opéra d’Avignon that offers music, dance, theatre and opera performances throughout the entire year, and the well-balanced programming draws a wide audience. Jazz concerts are given in places such as AJMI Jazz Club, La Manutention, rue Escalier-Ste-Anne with every thursday Jazz presentations. In theater Avignon offers the famous Avignon festival in july of every year, there are also theatre and musical venues such as: the Théâtre du Chêne Noir on rue Ste-Catherine; Théâtre du Chien qui Fume on rue des Teinturiers; Théâtre des Halles on rue Noël Biret; and Théâtre des Carmes on Place des Carmes. |
