Cathédrale St-Jean

This beautiful Cathedrale was built in the 12th century and completed in 1476, This church was built between 1180 and 1480, and reflects the transition from Romanesque to Gothic in Old Europe.



Notre Dame Basilique

This cathedral is huge and overwhelming when you walk inside, the ceilings are really high, and there are mosaics on all the walls. You can go downstairs and there is another almost as big chapel underneath the original one. Is located at the top of the Fourvière Hill and was built in the 19th century by the architect Bossan.


Hotel Dieu

This building was constructed in the 12th century and it was a hospital in its beginnings, now is a hotel and has as important characteristics its big gardens and the impressive courtyard. Was rebuilt in the 18th century by architect JG Soufflot.


Musée des Beaux-Arts

This Museum is located in the former Abbey of the Ladies of St-Pierre, in the center of the city. Houses one of the largest art collection in France, with Ancient and Egyptian art, sculptures and paintings from the Middle Ages and from painters such as Manet, Monet, Picasso and many others.


City Hall

This building's origin dates from the 16th century, the interior of the City Hall is really amazing, has a beautiful Baroque-style decor and the highlights are the main attraction in the ‘Grand Salon’. The bell tower is also impressive, still has three original bells from the 1675 it had.
