Marseille Travel Guide

The city of Marseille

With the extension of the TGV lines Marseille has become a very visited city and despite of the fact that the city's image was not the best some years ago now it has changed enormously, now is known for the fashion, the beautiful beaches, the theatre, music and sport. Marseille was host of the America’s Cup in 2007. This is a very modern city and also has a rich history, now it's trying to be the new tourist venue in the Mediterranean.

The historical part of the city can be seen in its Museums and churches, the Vieux Port has a beautiful view of the city with the cruise boats and fishing vessels. The most important museums in Marseille are the Musée Cantini, Musée Grobet Labadie, Musée de Beaux Arts and Musée de la Faience.

Marseille has very beautiful beaches, two of the most important are: Plage du Prado and La Corniche, peaceful beaches, delicious seafood, amazing landscapes, quiet streets for having a walk and cycling trails are good reasons to enjoy your vacations in this city.
