French in France

France is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe and it is very popular among foreign students.  Paris is the capital of this country where there are many language schools; they offer French courses and programs to immerse students in French culture. French is a Romance language such as Portuguese, Italian and Spanish; it has its roots in Latin, its vocabulary has several similarities with the words of these languages, not to mention the words that it has in common with English, what with table or touché.  The best way to learn a language is to practice it with a native-speaker, and to improve your accent and listening skills if you already know the language.

Learning a new language takes a long time, it takes a lot of input and patience. French is no exception to this rule, it might even have a bad reputation among pupils as a difficult language; to learn French you must practice it frequently.   Language schools have different methods to learn this beautiful language and make it as easy as you can imagine, suggesting students to do many activities where they can expand their vocabularies.  French people are very friendly, it’s easy to talk to them, which is very useful for French learners.

There are many dialects for French language, it’s easy to notice the little differences among the accents of countries such as Canada (Quebec), Switzerland, Belgium and Guyana, each local has a special way to pronounce French words, but the written French is standard.  French opens doors to many opportunities, several international companies require employees to speak and understand French very well. Many language schools have a website with the section “French in France”, this section offers options to travel to France to learn French.

However, if visiting a French-speaking country is not an option, there are large lists of websites that help you learn different languages.  Many students who cannot leave their jobs or studies, found the perfect solution on Internet through distance learning. Although, these courses can’t provide the experiences that you obtain by sharing your ideas face to face with professors and classmates.

Internet has overcome physical barriers; you can talk to anyone around the world in real time, this virtual world has many tools to make your learning experience real. Typing “Online Language” on any search engine will help you find websites that provide the information you need to find a language course or take virtual lessons, there’s no excuse not to learn other languages.

France has many opportunities and benefits for foreign students; you can learn French in one of its beautiful cities; many language schools offer scholarships or paid trips to France. French is a wonderful language to learn.
