Arc de Triomphe
The Arc de Triomphe is located in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. It is really three arches: the main lateral arch and two perpendicular arches that support the north and south columns.

La Grande Arche
The Grande Arche de la Fraternité is a monument located in La Défense, to the west of Paris. It's used as a huge government office building. It is usually known as the Arche de la Défense or simply as La Grande Arche, and was designed by Danish architect Otto van Spreckelsen.

Le Louvre
The Louvre Museum is a famous and historic museum and is the most visited in France. It and holds many works of art. Leonardo Da Vinci's Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory of Samothrace are a few examples.

The Orsay Museum
The Musée d'Orsay is an art gallery that contains many paintings, sculptures and photographs. Some of the most important works of art by Monet, Mattise and Van Gogh are here. This museum was built where the train station used to be located.

The Pompidou Centre
The Pompidou Centre was constructed between 1971 and 1977 and receives 25,000 visitors a day. It is located near Le Marais and Les Halles and is also known as Beaubourg.
The building style is very modern and it houses the Centre's National Museum of Modern Art, which occupies two floors with some 40.000 works.
