The Covered BridgesOr the Ponts-Couverts are one of the most famous tourist attractions in all of Strasbourg, are towers and footbridges situated at the end of 'Petite France', only the towers remain from the original 13th century structure, these ancient fortified remains owe their name to the series of roofed, wooden footbridges which existed when they were built. ![]() The Vauban Barrage Located near the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art at the west part of the "Petite France" district in Strasbourg, this structure dates from the 17th century and was built over the river by the military engineer Vauban. |
