The city of Marseille

With the extension of the TGV lines, Marseille has become a very popular city with tourist and despite the fact that the city's image was not the best some years ago, it has now changed enormously, and now is known for fashion, its beautiful beaches, the theatre, music and sport. Marseille hosted of the America’s Cup in 2007. It is a very modern city with also a rich history, that is now trying to be the new tourist venue of the Mediterranean.

The historic part of the city can be seen in its Museums and churches. The Vieux Port has a beautiful view of the city with its cruise boats and fishing vessels. The most important museums in Marseille are the Musée Cantini, Musée Grobet Labadie, Musée de Beaux Arts and Musée de la Faience.

Marseille has very beautiful beaches, being la Plage du Prado and la Corniche two of the most important ones. With its peaceful beaches, delicious seafood, amazing landscapes, quiet streets for walking and cycling trails, there are many good reasons to enjoy your holidays in this city.
