The artistic program of the museum finds its main structure in the relation between the New European Realism and the American Tendency towards the Art of Assembling and Pop Art. Inside the major movements in 60’s and 70’s Plastic Art is particularly well represented with works by César, Arman, and from Nice; Ben & Yves Klein, who gave the symbolic image of the museum.
For its architecture alone this museum is a success, with its four marble towers, designed by Carrare, connected by transparent walkways.
